Top 10 posts: Christmas 2009 round up

December 25th, 2009 · No Comments · Diet, Psychology, Training

Merry Christmas everyone!

It’s been an interesting year for my training which has had some highs but also some impressive lows.  This year has also seen my start this blog.  As the year winds to a close, here are the top 5 most popular non-recipe posts that I’ve written this year:

  1. How to do the Rope Upright Row
  2. Blog-watch: all about the glutes
  3. Impact of diet on the menstrual cycle
  4. Women can do pull ups too
  5. Glute guy workouts

Also, here are the top 5 most popular recipe posts of the year:

  1. Paleo kitchen experiments – pumpkin soup and seeds
  2. Paleo kitchen experiments: meatloaf and cauliflower bake
  3. Paleo kitchen experiments: tuna coleslaw and other portable meals
  4. Paleo kitchen experiments – meatballs and roasted veg
  5. Paleo kitchen experiments: carrot and orange cake

I’m particularly amused by the top recipe post of pumpkin soup and seeds (which was, incidentally, more popular than any non-recipe post as well).

I assume this got lots of extra hits because we’ve recently been through the season of pumpkins (Halloween) but even so, unless it was the seeds part of the post people were after, I hope they weren’t too disappointed by the soup recipe.  I thought it was pretty flavourless and even said so!  I’ll invest some extra time next autumn to create a pumpkin soup recipe that tastes superb.
